A little more Florida.

Look beyond the parks for paddling, wildlife, farm visits and time outdoors.

Choose the adventure that fits

The best outing is one everyone can comfortably take part in. Check minimum age, height or weight requirements, physical demands, shade, weather policies and toilets before booking. A short activity can still require a substantial journey from Reunion.

Four ideas to explore

Green Meadows Petting Farm is an option to research for a family farm visit. Check its current location, opening days and admission arrangements; historic brochures may point to older information.

Gatorland’s Screamin’ Gator Zip Line offers an adventure option with specific participation requirements. Read those requirements before making it the centerpiece of the day.

For wetlands and wildlife, compare Wild Florida’s airboat options. These are Central Florida outings, not visits to Everglades National Park. Wildlife sightings cannot be promised.

Wekiwa Springs State Park is a paddling and nature candidate. Check current alerts, entry arrangements, equipment and the exact launch point before setting off.

Keep a weather alternative

Outdoor adventures should not double as the default rainy-day plan. Follow operator instructions when storms affect the area and have an indoor alternative. For guided activities, clarify cancellation and rescheduling terms before paying.

Our rainy-day guide helps you build a backup plan without treating the day as a write-off.

Match the outing to the group

For animal encounters with younger children, look at Green Meadows Petting Farm. For a more adventurous outing, compare Gatorland’s zip-line experiences. A Wild Florida airboat trip offers a different view of the landscape, while Wekiwa Springs is a starting point for a paddling day. These operators have separate tickets and participation rules.

Choose one principal outing and leave room around it. Changing clothes, eating, collecting a rental car and getting through the resort gate all take time. A shorter excursion with an easy return often works better than trying to fit two unfamiliar activities into one day.
