Check dining seats, lounge space and parking as carefully as sleeping capacity. Several families may need different routines, especially when children and grandparents travel together.
Agree the essentials early
Decide who handles the booking, how costs are shared and which cancellation terms everyone accepts. Confirm rules for visitors, pets, noise and external services. A home suitable for a large overnight party is not automatically an event venue.
Give the week a flexible shape
Plan a few shared meals and activities, then leave room for smaller groups to do different things. Confirm transport and amenity access for everyone. A private chef may simplify a dinner if the property permits it; a corporate gathering needs its own suitability checks.
